Mystic, CT Backyard Elopement | Genviéve & Chris

A gathering including family, food from one of their favorite restaurants, an arbor they built themselves, and a whole lot of love - this one is going down in the records as the SWEETEST elopement ever. There's not a whole lot else to say except this: I had a hard time holding back tears throughout the entire ceremony.

As I walked to the yard I started to see in greater detail the place settings that had been crafted with care along with many other thoughtful touches put together for a night to remember. To top it all off I learned throughout the evening that Genviéve had done much of the planning and creating herself (did I mention they have an adorable little one with another one on the way?), talk about a serious super mom! As soon as I saw the way Chris looks at Genviéve I knew that this was one of those relationships that's grown and become more cherished and treasured as life's experiences have become more raw and real. Even though it felt like it was straight out of a fairytale it was very clear they're real life is so much better. It's a life full of family cheering them on, real life toddler laughs and inevitable break downs, dogs that hold a respected place in the family, and even more room in their hearts to continue down life's road ready for everyone and everything that enters their story.

It was my pleasure to capture this moment in their lives.
