Rhode Island Ocean House Sunset Beach Engagement
Every time I photograph a new couple, especially those first few moments after meeting, it’s uncomfortable. It’s 10000% normal to not feel instantly at ease being photographed and generally it takes a little while to feel like you can be yourself in front of the camera - I know, even as a photographer I freak out a bit when I’m on the other side. These are all emotions I’m ready for and prepped to guide my couples through to make for a positive and enjoyable experience. But truly, watching Chris and Sarah interact over the course of our time together was beautiful. There were moments when they were focused on each other that I felt like, and *really* hoped, that they had actually forgotten I was there. Chris looks at Sarah in a way that tells the whole world he knows exactly the gift he has in his arms - he’s so full of joy and contentment. And Sarah, well she lights up an entire beach with her smile and her calming and joyful demeanor brings an undeniable peace.
These are the moments and stories I live to photograph.
Harkness Memorial State Park Waterford, Connecticut | Rachel & Harrison
an we please just talk about how seriously stinking CUTE these two are?
Rachel and Harrison currently live in Arizona and when we chatted over the phone about their wedding, I encouraged them to still consider planning an “Engagement Session” even if it was just the week before so we would have the chance to connect and also give them some adorable New-Englandy photos while they were back on the east coast.
Well, I’m so glad we made the time. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to spend even more time with them in addition to their wedding day.

Meet Emma!
Emma is an absolute gem - she’s a beautiful combination of a genuine personality and an infectious smile. A couple of years ago when I first met her family (we all pretty much instantly became friends), I remember them saying "We can't wait for senior photos!" We've done a few amazing sessions in between, but it's really hard to believe she's graduated and closed a big chapter and turned the page to a new adventure.
Family Session | Stonington Borough, Connecticut
Though my calendar is often filled working with couples documenting love stories and wedding ceremonies, I absolutely love having the opportunity to work with couples in a different - yet equally beautiful season of life - raising little ones whose smiles and laughs melt hearts! Seriously, as soon as you see these cuties you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.
Old Stone Church - West Boylston, MA | Engagement

New England to Nova Scotia // Unconventional Spring Break - Part 3
The final(ish) entry documenting our trip to Nova Scotia. From Lunenburg to Halifax we learned the true meaning of farm to table, honored the history of NS as we walked through the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, tasted 16 samples of liquor as we tried to not fall off of barstools, enjoyed a final sunset on the beach, and indulged in one last decadent bite in historic Lunenburg before falling asleep and waking early to drive 13 hours back to Connecticut. I’m convinced the best vacations are the ones you feel like you could use a little vacation when you get home. The less you sleep the more you see.
