Summer Engagement Session on Long Island
Long Island’s timeless beauty provided the perfect backdrop for this engagement session, a heartfelt tribute to the bride’s roots. Growing up in this stunning coastal region, she selected locations that held deep personal significance—each one telling a unique chapter of her and her fiancé’s love story.
We began at a sleek, modern hotel (shoutout to Silver Sands Motel & Beach Bungalows in Greenport, NY for being so gracious and providing the cutest aesthetic for Mike & Nikki), where vintage-inspired bicycles displayed their wedding date—a charming nod to their journey ahead. Silver Sands also has the cutest retro diner where we snuck away for a few minutes and it infused the session with a fun, carefree energy, reflecting the couple’s effortless joy. And as the evening unfolded, we made our way to a favorite beach, where the golden hues of sunset painted a scene reminiscent of the California coast, blending romance with the undeniable charm of New York’s shoreline. Between the rocks and sandy cliffs I really felt like we’d transported to somewhere on the Pacific Coast Highway.
As a wedding photographer capturing love stories on Long Island and throughout NYC and beyond, I’m constantly inspired by the connection between place and memory. This session wasn’t just about the stunning settings—it was about preserving the emotions, the in-between moments, and the quiet exchanges that define a love story. And we really sealed the narrative when Nikki & Mike had their favorite local pizza delivered, climbed up on a rock and enjoyed sharing a slice. Really, can it get anymore “classic NY moment” than that?
My approach to photography mirrors the couple’s clean and classic style: refined yet effortless, elegant yet sincere. With every frame, I aim to create images that feel timeless—capturing more than just poses, but the warmth and intimacy that make each couple’s journey unique. You are unlike any one else, and the two of you together? It’s downright once-in-a-lifetime-magic and each couple has their own story that deserves to be told in a way that’s effortlessly authentic.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting its final golden light across the ocean (it still feels crazy it’s the Atlantic and not Pacific, to be honest), I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Photography is more than an art form; it’s a way of preserving fleeting moments, of crafting tangible memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
This Long Island engagement session was a beautiful reminder of why I do what I do—to tell love stories, to capture emotion, and to celebrate the magic of each couple’s journey in a way that is both timeless and deeply personal.
